The things I don't know
There is a Nintendo DS in the boys' possession now. How this one managed to get by me, I'm not sure, since I pretty adamantly hate the fact that the Rhubarb is so obsessed with it. The Squirrel, now that's a different story, I can almost believe he would self-regulate his obsession with it if we just gave it enough time. The Roo- I don't think so.
Roo has lately taken to waking up and directly turning on the tv and forgetting to eat, or speak, or pee- ok, maybe not pee, and blissfully vegging out.Screen time invariably leads to disharmony, and as of late I have no room for disharmony. So the DS, as the boys call it reverently, has been living in my sock drawer for close to a month, kudos for saving and pooling their resources be damned.
Roo feels compelled to show it to the delightful overnight guest the other day. When I hesitate, trying to think of a valid answer to why I don't want to dig it out, he looks me in the eye, and says, "Amy, screens do NOT make people fight."
No response from me.
With some sympathy, he sighs slightly and continues, "Amy. You don't know about life.
We are rough boys."
