Fruit and Vegetable Threats

Yesterday after the dentist ground EIGHT of my teeth after the terrible fillings, the boys and I had two hours to kill between my appointment and Zeb's piano lesson. As I am trying to learn to see things as an opportunity instead of as a challenge, we decided to go to the zoo and check out the new children's zoo.
The great part was nobody was there so we chatted up the wolves and the beavers were very accomodating about saying hi. They are strange looking creatures, those beavers. When we got cold, we went inside where they have this huge treehouse structure that the kids spent a good hour and a half climbing through. A couple little girls decided the boys were their enemy and spent a lot of time running from them whenever they came out of the treehouse. As we were getting ready to go, one of the girls fixed Jesse with this Look and very pointedly told him, "I am going to eat one hundred fruits and vegetables so I can be strong and get you." Zeb snuck up to Jess and whispered in his ear, and Jess put his hands on his hips and announced loudly, "Oh yeah? Well, me eat spinach. Me do. Me really do."
